Churches Together

We form part of the ecumenical grouping of churches 'Churches Together in Abbeydale' - CTA. We meet and share together in various ways over the course of a year. Once every couple of months one of the churches hosts an evening where we are 'Gathered Together' for worship.

As well as sharing in these services we join together on Good Friday in a silent walk of witness beginning at Millhouses Holy Trinity and gathering people from Millhouses Methodist Church, St Peter's and St Oswald's and Carteknowle Methodist Church finally arriving at Mother of God where we gather for a short act of worship together.

Lent Study groups, the Octave of Prayer for Christian Unity and the Women's World Day of Prayer are also organised together and as part of wider ecumenical links.

As Churches Together in Abbeydale we plan and organise a celebration 'Praise in the Park' which takes place in Millhouses Park during the summer months. This year Praise in the Park took place on the 26 June.
